Donation Opportunities

Chongtul Rinpoche resides and teaches in NY, splitting his time between the temple in Woodside, Queens, NY and the temple/retreat center in Warwick, NY.

Woodside Temple

The Woodside Temple has three floors: the upper floor houses the temple which can hold about 80 people; the second floor has a welcoming living room and kitchen; the basement serves as a public dining area on ceremony days.

Warwick Temple /
Retreat Center

The Warwick Temple/Retreat center sits on 125 acres of land. There is a 4114 sq. foot house which serves both as a temple (can hold about 100 people) and a small lodging facility accommodating approximately 15 people.

Vision for the future:

Our ultimate goal is to have a traditional temple with a lodging/dining facility that could house 50 people.  On the first floor of the100 x 80 two-story temple would be the main teaching hall, kitchen and dining area, and two lamas rooms. On the second floor would be the Sipi Gyalmo protector chapel and meditation rooms.

Donations from teachings, prayers, and individual donors have helped maintain these properties and sustain BSL’s mission. However, since the start of the pandemic in 2020, it has not been possible to hold in person teachings or to maintain direct personal contact with students and donors. This has led to decreased donations and financial challenges for BSL.  We are grateful for your support.

Bon Shen Ling is committed to preserving and sharing the spiritual wisdom of the Tibetan Bon tradition. We graciously ask for your support to help BSL continue this important work.

Average monthly financial responsibilities for BSL are close to $15,000. Contributions to these ongoing costs help ensure that BSL can continue to operate its facilities and its programs
