Nature of the Mind (Meditation)

Class Description:
Nature of Mind is an ancient practice originating from a system known as Dzogchen. This system was developed in the Bön tradition from Zhang Zhung, and was later absorbed into the traditions in Tibet. Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche of Menri Monastery will introduce and explain the fundamental approach to this effective meditational system. This practice is regarded as the highest and most direct form of meditation to bring peace and stability to the mind. This program will be of great benefit to both newcomers and those who have experience with meditation practice.

Class Description:
Compassion and Love are the highest tools for releasing stress, anxiety, and confusion. Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche will be discussing insights that cultivate compassion and love to bring stability to one's life. This approach may appear to be simple, but the complexities to modern living and the outside influences that bombard us each day, create a hectic and stressful environment through aggressive emotions which are unbeneficial to a healthy lifestyle. Rinpoche will give clear instructions regarding the deep understanding of compassion and love as the best medicine for happiness and health.

In our life, the importance of generating peaceful and healthy energy is dependent upon our relationship in dealing with an interconnectedness between body, speech and mind. When there is a balance, the means to increasing our body's vital energy and bringing peace and calm to our mental condition, is dependent upon this connection. How we speak, think and act have great influences on our overall physical and mental conditions. Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche will explain and demonstrate techniques to enhance the energy connecting body, speech, and mind.

Class Description:
Dakinis are feminine celestial beings encompassing aspects of love, compassion, peace and the protection of the universe. These Tibetan goddesses are known as angels or sky walkers. Invoking the spirit of the Dakinis facilitates healing to initiate inner transformation to reshape mental perceptions and emotional states.
Learn how to channel powerful healing energies and use Tibetan mantras as spiritual medicine. These ancient Bon techniques help establish a mindset to help one overcome fear and obstacles with loving kindness. The teaching will cover the four loving mothers Yum Chen Sa Trik Er Sang (Mother of Compassion), Sherab Chama (Goddess of Love), Yeshe Walmo (Goddess of Protection), Si Pi Gyal Mo (Queen Protector of the Universe).
This five-day retreat is a unique opportunity to receive transmissions from Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche.

Class Description:
Tse Dup Yang Bod is a complete ancient energetic healing practice from ZhangZhung, the ancestral home of Bonpo. This retreat is traditionally taught in a 30–day format where a Lama gives instructions, transmission, and empowerments of the practice. Participants who complete of all three Wangs and practice instructions will receive a certificate of completion from one of man’s oldest healing modalities. This June marks the second Wang for students who have fulfilled the first Wang practice assignments.
