We believe that preserving Bon, is not only about preserving an indigenous culture it is about providing all of us with the opportunity to experience and learn from a society that has persevered for thousands of years.
This is a culture from which we can learn about the value of humanness; of kindness, gentleness and compassion. The ability to deal with strife and conflict, within ourselves and globally, requires that we understand the essence that lies within each human being. The people of Tibet and the Bon understand and embody that knowledge, and offer it to the world.
Bön Shen Ling, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the U.S., is dedicated to supporting the global Bon community through its programs that support refugees and educate western societies about this unique group of people and their way of life.
Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche is a pre-eminent Lama of the Tibetan Bon tradition and the spiritual director of Bon Shen Ling.
